You could if... There was a closet, attic or you built a box to house the fan. It's not dificult to install the WHF in an attic and vertially instal the shutter on the wall of the vaulted ceiling room.

Can you vertically mount the fan close to the top point of the end of a tall "A" shaped open beam ceiling? Does it need to be at or near the highest point?

This fan needs a 30 inch by 24 inch by 24 inch space to conceal it, so if you have a partial attic or storage space the installer can install the shutter vertically. The fan does a great job removing the hot air from open beam homes. In addition, for those times when you don't have attic space for the Whole House Fan we have a number of belt driven and direct exhaust fans for commercial, residential and industrial use.

Is it possible to install this fan if you have no attic? Ours is a single story open beam ceiling.

Any idea on how much it might cost to install? This sounds so great...our house is SO HOT sometimes that we kind of feel sick from the heat!! Not good.

Aloha nui, Ruthie
